Christmas Tree Ornaments - Easy To Carve © March 1997 This first book, of a series I am writing, is aimed primarily at the beginner, or novice, wood carver. I begin with some basic instruction on tool usage. All ten projects are easy to carve and you can usually find scrap wood to use. I give some general hints and tips on how I go about carving. Any of these ornaments are good as first attempts at wood carving as a hobby. The ornaments, colored per the cover photograph, will look great on your Christmas tree, (or some one else's tree as a gift!) Remember, I don't teach you how to carve, I just show, and instruct you how I carve mine, and you take off from there. The whole point of the hobby is to have fun!! |

Texas Totem - The Lone Star State © March 2001 The Texas totem pole book is an attempt to capture some of the outstanding and interesting features of the Lone Star State. On each section of the pole I show something about the state that has caught my eye in the 70 plus years I have lived here. One of the neat things about this book is it will give you a starting point for you to carve interesting facts and features about your state or country. The pole can be as tall or short as you would like to make it simply by adding or subtracting more blocks. |
